Cookie Policy

This policy lists the cookies, browser local storage, and similar technologies that dfwplantco.com actually uses today. We keep this list accurate as our site changes — we do not list technologies we don't use, and we don't add tracking technology just because other sites commonly use it.

Our website uses your browser's local storage — not a cookie — to remember the items in your shopping cart and to keep a group delivery link working across page visits. This information stays on your device, is not sent to us until you check out, and is required for the cart and group-delivery features to work. There is no way to opt out of this while using those features, because the site can't function without it, but you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use our site — which pages are viewed, how people navigate the site, and overall traffic volume. GA4 sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and sessions. The order-related events we send to GA4 (such as "item added to cart" or "purchase completed") include product and order information but never your name, email, phone number, or address.

This is currently the only analytics or tracking technology on our site.

We do not currently use advertising or retargeting pixels (such as Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google Ads conversion tracking), heatmap or session-recording tools (such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity), or any other third-party advertising or tracking cookie beyond Google Analytics. If that changes, we will update this policy and, if required, implement an appropriate consent mechanism before any new tracking technology loads.

Because our only analytics technology is a standard, non-advertising analytics cookie (Google Analytics), and we do not target or profile individual visitors for advertising, we have not implemented a cookie consent banner at this time. If you'd prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can use a browser extension such as Google's own Analytics opt-out add-on, or adjust your browser's cookie and tracking-protection settings.

If we add a new cookie, analytics tool, or tracking technology to our site, we will update this policy to reflect it accurately, and will add an appropriate consent mechanism first if one is legally required for that technology.
